Endurance – Poetry by Melissa Madenski

Poet and author Melissa Madenski has just published Endurance – a book of extraordinary poetry.
Almost every poem brought fresh tears. She writes with tremendous elegance and courage about loss, love and survival. She kindly agreed to let me share one of her poems.
To read the rest, buy Endurance.

Almost There

Finding no There
no station of arrivals
only stopovers, you live

a life of impermanence
where destinations
relocate in liminal spaces

where geese call, There
where any creek runs
to any river that drains
to any sea, There

where home is possible
as imagined, There
in portable places.
